A country scene created from wool and silk. This textile art picture has been made using strips of coloured silk fabric blended with wool and silk fibres to create the background. The fabric and fibres have been needle felted to a felt backing sheet which binds the fibres and fabric together without the need for stitching and adds texture to the surface of the picture. Further wool and silk fibres have been used to add the detail of the trees and stream.
The picture has been mounted using a black and white card mount, dimensions given below. It is sold unframed.
