I am a self taught felt artist making fashion accessories , home décor and giftware. I work mainly with merino wool fibre for my wet felting work and merino and corriedale wool for my needle felting. Other natural and synthetic fibres are often used for decorative effect.
Felting techniques employed in my work include wet felting, needle felting and nuno felting (felting onto fabric, usually silk), along with resist felting for the formation of three dimensional objects and some textural effects.
I love working with wool fibres. Being able to create such a vast range of items from the humble fibre fascinates me and I am always on the look out for new ideas and techniques.
