Needle felted wool and silk textile art, "Field of Heather", 7"x5", mounted, unframed

This beautiful textile art picture of purple heather fields has been created using strips of coloured silk fabric and wool and silk fibres, needle felted to a felt base. The silk fabric forms the basis of the picture with additional wool and silk fibres added to the surface to blend the colours together and add texture. The needle felting process binds the fibres and fabric together without the need for stitching and adds texture to the surface of the picture.

The picture has been mounted using a black and white card mount, dimensions given below. It is sold unframed.
