Mini needle felted woodpecker

A fabulous little mini woodpecker sculpture has been needle felted using woollen fibres and a barbed felting needle that sculpts the wool into shape and binds the fibres together. After sculpting white core fibres into shape, a top coat of coloured merino wool fibres is added with appropriate markings around the head. The legs are formed from wire, the eyes are beaded and a beak made from air dry clay has been added.

The woodpecker has been mounted on a small circular wooden base with a hanging loop attached. The woodpecker is approximately 11.5 cm long. Perfect to hang on the wall in any space.
