Needle Felted Green Man Wall Hanging

This green man has been made using woollen fibres which have been needle felted using a barbed felting needle to form a firm circular base and facial features. Leaves have been cut from a piece of green 100% wool felt fabric, slightly shaped, markings added and attached to the circumference of the base. The wool used for the eyebrows and moustache has been left unfelted to create a bushy effect and is wrapped around wire allowing them to be gently shaped as required. A small brass ring has been secured to the reverse of the sculpture to facilitate hanging.

The green man is traditionally thought of as a symbol for rebirth and is a popular wall decoration.

The green man measures approximately 9" (23cm) in diameter.

I would not recommend hanging this green man outside.
