Needle Felted Bluetit

A pretty little blue tit sitting on a branch has been needle felted using woollen fibres. White core wool fibres have been sculpted into shape using a barbed felting needle to bind the fibres together and a top coat of merino wool fibres in appropriate colours has been added. The feet have been made using wired wrapped in brown tape and beaded eyes added. The beak is made using silk clay.

The blue tit has been mounted on a needle felted branch with a rustic wooden base.

The blue tit is approximately life-size measuring approximately 13cm (5") in length and the whole ornament stands approximately 15cm (6") tall
